Bouquet to Kharkov, Ukraine

Chrysanthemum is one of the most popular flowers, next only to rose. Chrysanthemum comes from Greek word ‘Chrys’ meaning golden (the color of the original flowers), and ‘anthemon’, meaning flower. They symbolize long life, joy, optimism and fidelity. Chrysanthemums originated in China over 2500 years ago and were brought by Buddhist monks to Japan in AD 400. The Japanese Emperors were so impressed by them that they often sat on thrones of chrysanthemums. It is now the national flower of Japan where a “Festival of Happiness” is also held each year to celebrate this flower. According to feng shui, Chrysanthemums are believed to bring happiness and laughter to any home which makes them a wonderful gift to Ukraine for any occasion.
